Shooting rainbows at angry bunnies...

Well its official Ben now has a full time desk job! Which i will now convince myself regardless of how true it is or not that he is for the most part out of harms way. Sure I'm living in a dream world but I don't care if it helps me sleep at night I'll think he is shooting rainbows at angry bunnies in a garden that needs weeding. I'm so proud of him. He told me tonight that he was sending home the book that they are selling at hallmark right now the night before Christmas one that you can record yourself reading the whole book. I laughed as soon as he told me the title because i had plans to run out tomorrow and get it and ship it to him so he could ship it back to the kiddos. We always have the same ideas. I love that about us! We are so in sync its scary sometimes. I can't wait to have him home again!

Together or apart...

I have to say I really feel like the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" Is super accurate in my situation. I have never felt more in love with my husband. Deployment is a CRAZY time! So many emotions on your plate at once. Its a constant waiting game a lot like Christmas was when you were a kid minus you never worried about Santa in hostile territory. But you wait and you count how many months, how many weeks, how many paychecks, yes even paychecks, and then you decide which one sounds the best. Paychecks is definitely the winner in my case. But even still just like Christmas i think you get gifts as well. No, I'm not talking about the cool stuff the hubby sends home from over there although I do enjoy those gifts too. I'm talking about this crazy love we have for one another, our improved communication, and this driving force as a military wife I have to make my hubby as proud of me as i am of him. I feel such a overwhelming sense of Pride in all my hubby does. And its such an amazing feeling. If you would have told me 4 years ago that I would be as Patriotic as i am now and that i would be the doting wife of a Military Man. I probably would have rolled my eyes at you. I love this crazy life and would not trade it for anything. This experience as been life altering in so many ways and not only that but i think it have given my husband such a feeling of worth. I have always told him he was capable of anything he wanted to do but until the military he didn't know where to put all this energy. He has found his place in this world and it gives me such pleasure. I'm sure there are more huddles to conquer but am not afraid. Together or apart we will endure and rise above it all. I love you, Babe.

I'm still alive...

I know, I know, where have you been, Sarah. Depressed. Just haven't felt like much of anything lately til now that is my hubby brought it to my attention that i have not written in ages. He said he checkes it everytime he gets the chance to get on the internet. By the way Ben is now in the sandbox as we call it and has been for about 3 months now. He is doing very well and recently was PROMOTED!!!! I am SOOOO Flipin Proud! He has such potential! I know he will continue to do well. Also the Hubby and me where chosen to be in the Febuary issue of MilitarySpouse magazine. I entered a contest a month ago, you had to submit a romantic story something your husband has done for you and well OUR STORY WON!!! I have to admit i do kinda have a hopeless romantic on my hand with Ben he has really always been that way. So anyway they emailed me and told me my story was one of the ones chosen. And our story along with our photo will be in the upcoming issue! I'm super excited! I must say it is a REALLY SWEET story but I'm not going to spoil it. I'll fill ya in once its out. Sorry gotta leave you hanging!

Its been an interesting ride so far being without Ben. In all he has been away from our home for 6 months. WHOA!!!! Ya i know CRAZY! Our house is very boring without him here. Sure the kiddos are running around and are definitely loud at times but i miss my husbands loudness. And boy is he loud! I miss his goofiness. I even miss fussing with him about trivial everyday stuff like turning the movie down, we don't need to feel like we are the on the set of the making of the movie when the car skids across 6 lanes of highway while shooting at the bad guys chasing them, or snapping off the little hooks of the plastic hangers so there are no hangers for spaghetti strap shirts, or putting a completely empty tea pitcher back in the frig. Why do we need to keep that cold again? OHHH Benjamin! You make me laugh! You are so silly and i miss you! I think you need to come home now! I love you and you make me proud!

Y not go swimming...

So I took the kids to the Y today to swim because it is SOOOO HOT here! I didn't get any shots of my oldest, she was messing around too much and half the time wasn't even in the pool so I don't think she will go next time. I couldn't believe she was out there splashing away like everyone else.

Don't drop that hat...

I feel SO emotional here lately. I cry at the drop of a hat. I'm really getting tired of it! I guess i'm depressed but its really not like the other times I've been depressed. I'm not really all that down, well at least not all the time. I don't know but i don't like it at all. I hate having my emotions all over the map and boy are they. I'm a big 'O' mess. But this too shall pass...right? Got to keep pressing forward. Here I go!!!!
