Shooting rainbows at angry bunnies...
Well its official Ben now has a full time desk job! Which i will now convince myself regardless of how true it is or not that he is for the most part out of harms way. Sure I'm living in a dream world but I don't care if it helps me sleep at night I'll think he is shooting rainbows at angry bunnies in a garden that needs weeding. I'm so proud of him. He told me tonight that he was sending home the book that they are selling at hallmark right now the night before Christmas one that you can record yourself reading the whole book. I laughed as soon as he told me the title because i had plans to run out tomorrow and get it and ship it to him so he could ship it back to the kiddos. We always have the same ideas. I love that about us! We are so in sync its scary sometimes. I can't wait to have him home again!

Together or apart...
I have to say I really feel like the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" Is super accurate in my situation. I have never felt more in love with my husband. Deployment is a CRAZY time! So many emotions on your plate at once. Its a constant waiting game a lot like Christmas was when you were a kid minus you never worried about Santa in hostile territory. But you wait and you count how many months, how many weeks, how many paychecks, yes even paychecks, and then you decide which one sounds the best. Paychecks is definitely the winner in my case. But even still just like Christmas i think you get gifts as well. No, I'm not talking about the cool stuff the hubby sends home from over there although I do enjoy those gifts too. I'm talking about this crazy love we have for one another, our improved communication, and this driving force as a military wife I have to make my hubby as proud of me as i am of him. I feel such a overwhelming sense of Pride in all my hubby does. And its such an amazing feeling. If you would have told me 4 years ago that I would be as Patriotic as i am now and that i would be the doting wife of a Military Man. I probably would have rolled my eyes at you. I love this crazy life and would not trade it for anything. This experience as been life altering in so many ways and not only that but i think it have given my husband such a feeling of worth. I have always told him he was capable of anything he wanted to do but until the military he didn't know where to put all this energy. He has found his place in this world and it gives me such pleasure. I'm sure there are more huddles to conquer but am not afraid. Together or apart we will endure and rise above it all. I love you, Babe.
